Biodiversity Conservation (BDC)
Section Information
Biodiversity Conservation focuses on the protection, management, and restoration of biological diversity across terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems. The field studies species, habitats, and ecological processes to prevent biodiversity loss and support ecosystem resilience.
Current research addresses habitat degradation, climate change impacts, invasive species, ecosystem restoration, conservation planning, and sustainable resource management. Advances in remote sensing, ecological modeling, genetics, and community-based conservation are improving strategies to protect biodiversity at local and global scales.
This section publishes field studies, conservation assessments, ecological modeling research, restoration case studies, policy analyses, and review articles related to species protection, ecosystem management, and long-term environmental sustainability.
