Physical Chemistry (CPH)
Section Information
Physical Chemistry focuses on the fundamental principles that govern chemical systems, combining concepts from chemistry and physics to understand energy, structure, dynamics, and reactivity. The field explores thermodynamics, kinetics, quantum mechanics, and molecular behavior to explain chemical processes at atomic and molecular levels.
Current research includes reaction dynamics, spectroscopy, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, statistical mechanics, and computational modeling. Advances in ultrafast spectroscopy, high-resolution imaging, theoretical simulations, and data-driven analysis are expanding knowledge of molecular interactions and material properties.
This section publishes theoretical studies, experimental investigations, computational research, and review articles related to the physical principles underlying chemical systems and processes.
