Biomedical Engineering focuses on the application of engineering principles to medicine and biology to improve healthcare diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. The field integrates mechanical, electrical, chemical, and materials engineering with life sciences to develop medical devices, imaging systems, and therapeutic technologies.
Current research includes medical imaging, biomaterials, tissue engineering, biosensors, wearable health devices, rehabilitation systems, and computational modeling of physiological systems. Advances in artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and regenerative medicine are driving innovation in personalized and precision healthcare.
