Ecology (ECO)
Section Information
Ecology focuses on the interactions between organisms and their physical and biological environments. The field examines how individuals, populations, communities, and ecosystems function, adapt, and respond to natural and human-induced changes.
Current research addresses ecosystem dynamics, biodiversity patterns, climate change impacts, species interactions, habitat fragmentation, and ecosystem services. Advances in remote sensing, long-term monitoring, ecological modeling, and data analytics are improving understanding of environmental processes across local and global scales.
This section publishes field studies, experimental investigations, theoretical modeling research, conservation assessments, and review articles related to ecological processes, environmental sustainability, and ecosystem management.
