Network Engineering focuses on the design, implementation, management, and optimization of communication networks that enable data exchange across local, regional, and global systems. The field covers wired and wireless networks, network protocols, infrastructure security, and performance management.
Current research includes high-speed networking, software-defined networking, cloud and edge networking, 5G and next-generation wireless systems, network virtualization, and cybersecurity.
