Evolutionary Biology (EVB)
Section Information
Evolutionary Biology focuses on the processes that drive the origin, diversification, and adaptation of life over time. The field examines genetic variation, natural selection, speciation, and evolutionary relationships among organisms across different environments and timescales.
Current research includes population genetics, phylogenetics, comparative genomics, evolutionary development, adaptation to environmental change, and evolutionary ecology. Advances in genome sequencing, bioinformatics, fossil analysis, and mathematical modeling are providing deeper insight into evolutionary mechanisms.
This section publishes theoretical studies, molecular and genomic investigations, field-based research, comparative analyses, and review articles related to evolutionary processes and patterns.
