Fisheries (FSH)
Section Information
Fisheries focuses on the study, management, and sustainable use of fish and other aquatic resources in marine and freshwater systems. The field examines fish biology, population dynamics, aquatic ecosystems, and harvesting practices to support food security and environmental conservation.
Current research includes stock assessment, aquaculture systems, habitat restoration, climate impacts on fisheries, fisheries economics, and ecosystem-based management. Advances in remote sensing, genetic tools, data modeling, and monitoring technologies are improving sustainable fisheries management.
This section publishes field studies, experimental research, stock assessment analyses, aquaculture investigations, policy evaluations, and review articles related to aquatic resource management and fisheries science.
