Geochemistry & Geophysics (GCP)
Section Information
Geochemistry and Geophysics focus on the chemical composition, physical properties, and dynamic processes of the Earth and other planetary bodies. The field integrates chemistry, physics, geology, and computational modeling to understand the structure, evolution, and behavior of the Earth system.
Current research includes isotope geochemistry, mineral chemistry, seismic imaging, tectonic processes, mantle dynamics, geomagnetism, and climate–Earth interactions. Advances in analytical instrumentation, satellite observations, geophysical surveys, and numerical simulations are improving insight into subsurface and planetary processes.
This section publishes field investigations, laboratory analyses, modeling studies, geophysical surveys, and review articles related to Earth processes and planetary systems.
