Multidisciplinary Geosciences (GMU)
Section Information
Multidisciplinary Geosciences focus on the integrated study of Earth systems through combined approaches from geology, geophysics, geochemistry, geography, environmental science, and related fields. The field promotes cross-disciplinary research to better understand complex interactions within the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere.
Current research includes Earth system modeling, climate–geosphere interactions, natural hazard assessment, resource sustainability, environmental change analysis, and planetary science. Advances in remote sensing, geospatial technologies, big data analytics, and computational modeling are enhancing integrated geoscientific investigations.
This section publishes interdisciplinary studies, integrated field and laboratory research, modeling analyses, large-scale data investigations, and review articles addressing complex Earth and environmental challenges.
