Section Information

Metallurgy and Metallurgical Engineering focus on the extraction, processing, characterization, and performance of metallic materials. The field studies the relationship between composition, microstructure, processing methods, and mechanical behavior to develop metals and alloys for structural and functional applications.

Current research includes extractive metallurgy, physical metallurgy, alloy design, heat treatment, corrosion science, powder metallurgy, and advanced manufacturing of metals. Advances in computational materials design, additive manufacturing, and microstructural engineering are improving strength, durability, and sustainability.

This section publishes experimental investigations, process development studies, microstructural analyses, modeling research, and review articles related to metallic materials and metallurgical technologies.
