Zoology (ZOO)

Section Information

Zoology focuses on the scientific study of animals, including their structure, physiology, behavior, evolution, and ecological roles. The field spans molecular biology to ecosystem-level research and supports conservation, biodiversity management, and animal health.

Current research includes animal genetics, comparative physiology, behavioral ecology, evolutionary biology, wildlife conservation, and animal–environment interactions. Advances in genomic tools, tracking technologies, imaging systems, and ecological modeling are expanding understanding of animal life across terrestrial and aquatic systems.

This section publishes laboratory investigations, field studies, ecological surveys, evolutionary analyses, and review articles related to animal biology and biodiversity.
