Condensed Matter Physics (PCM)
Section Information
Condensed Matter Physics focuses on the study of the physical properties of solid and liquid matter, where interactions between large numbers of particles give rise to complex collective behavior. The field examines electronic, magnetic, optical, and mechanical properties of materials at atomic and mesoscopic scales.
Current research includes superconductivity, magnetism, quantum materials, low-dimensional systems, phase transitions, and strongly correlated electron systems. Advances in nanofabrication, ultrafast spectroscopy, high-pressure experiments, and computational modeling are deepening understanding of material behavior and enabling new technologies.
This section publishes theoretical analyses, experimental investigations, computational studies, and review articles related to the fundamental and applied aspects of condensed matter systems.
