Atomic, Molecular & Chemical Physics (PMC)
Section Information
Atomic, Molecular, and Chemical Physics focus on the fundamental properties and interactions of atoms, molecules, and their assemblies. The field explores structure, dynamics, spectroscopy, and quantum behavior to understand matter at microscopic scales and its response to external fields and radiation.
Current research includes atomic structure theory, molecular dynamics, collision processes, ultrafast spectroscopy, quantum control, and precision measurement. Advances in laser technology, high-resolution spectroscopy, computational quantum chemistry, and cold atom systems are expanding knowledge and enabling new applications in energy, materials, and quantum technologies.
This section publishes theoretical analyses, experimental investigations, computational studies, and review articles related to atomic and molecular systems and their physical and chemical properties.
