Organic Chemistry (COR)
Section Information
Organic Chemistry focuses on the structure, synthesis, properties, and reactions of carbon-containing compounds. The field explores fundamental reaction mechanisms, molecular design, and functional group transformations that form the basis of pharmaceuticals, materials, agrochemicals, and fine chemicals.
Current research includes synthetic methodology development, stereochemistry, catalysis, natural product synthesis, organocatalysis, and reaction mechanism studies. Advances in green chemistry, computational tools, and automated synthesis are driving innovation in efficient and sustainable organic transformations.
This section publishes experimental synthesis studies, mechanistic investigations, structural analyses, catalytic research, and review articles related to the discovery and application of organic compounds.
