Ergonomics (EGR)

Section Information

Ergonomics focuses on the design of systems, products, and environments that fit human capabilities and limitations. The field studies the interaction between people, tools, tasks, and workplaces to improve safety, comfort, efficiency, and overall performance.

Current research includes human factors engineering, workplace design, cognitive ergonomics, usability analysis, occupational health, and human–machine interaction. Advances in wearable sensors, digital simulation, biomechanics, and data-driven assessment are improving the design of safer and more productive environments.

This section publishes experimental studies, applied research, design evaluations, workplace assessments, and review articles related to human-centered design and performance optimization.
