Section Information

Textiles in Materials Science focus on the structure, properties, processing, and performance of fiber-based materials used in technical, industrial, medical, and consumer applications. The field integrates polymer science, surface engineering, nanotechnology, and manufacturing to develop advanced textile systems with enhanced functionality.

Current research includes high-performance fibers, smart and functional textiles, nanofiber materials, textile composites, protective fabrics, and sustainable textile technologies. Advances in surface modification, conductive fibers, wearable systems, and recycling methods are expanding the role of textiles in modern materials science.
