Transplantation (TRA)
Section Information
Transplantation focuses on the science and clinical practice of replacing damaged organs, tissues, or cells to restore function and improve patient survival. The field integrates surgery, immunology, cell biology, and regenerative medicine to advance graft survival and long-term outcomes.
Current research includes organ preservation techniques, immunosuppressive therapies, rejection mechanisms, stem cell transplantation, xenotransplantation, and bioengineered organs. Advances in molecular diagnostics, tolerance induction, organ matching systems, and machine perfusion technologies are improving transplant success rates.
This section publishes clinical studies, experimental investigations, translational research, outcome analyses, and review articles related to organ and tissue transplantation.
