Water Resources (WRS)
Section Information
Water Resources focus on the study, management, and protection of surface water and groundwater systems. The field integrates hydrology, engineering, environmental science, policy, and climate research to ensure sustainable water supply, quality, and ecosystem balance.
Current research includes watershed management, groundwater modeling, flood risk assessment, drought mitigation, water quality monitoring, and integrated water resource management. Advances in remote sensing, hydrological modeling, smart water infrastructure, and data analytics are improving decision making in water systems.
This section publishes field studies, modeling research, engineering analyses, policy evaluations, and review articles related to water systems and sustainable resource management.
