Special Issue on Renewable Energy Integration to Power Grid: Challenges and Solutions

Share

Electric power demand is increasing day by day. The conventional sources of power generation (Thermal, Nuclear and Oil) are posing challenges like depletion in nature, leading to environmental pollution issues, and many more operational challenges, including economic aspects. For these reasons, it is indeed required to look for an alternate source of energy. In recent decades, the need for energy has led humans to create a thirst for better alternative sources of energy. Many researchers and industries are realizing and focusing on the effective exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES). But the effective utilization of RES is not that easy. As the penetration of renewable generation into the electric grid increases, the electrical engineers and network operators have to operate the system with utmost security, due to their chaotic nature of generation. With the advancements in technology and sophisticated algorithms, the quality of research has been established and is ever continuing.

In this context, this special issue invites you to submit a relevant contribution in the following topics, but not limited to:
  1. Renewable Energy Forecasting
  2. Heuristic Algorithms
  3. Handling of Uncertainty of Renewable Energy Generation
  4. Modelling and Analysis of Renewable Energy Sources
  5. Scheduling the Renewable Energy
  6. Renewable Energy Integration Issues
  7. Operation and Control of Various Renewable Energy
  8. Swapping with Renewable Energy
